Images are physically stored in the database so that the user does not have to worry about maintaining an external repository.
The GUI is very simple and is as presented below:
To embed an image, just click the "image" button and select an image on your hard-disk:

For images, the name of the image is automatically prefixed with a unique id corresponding to the id of the image file in the database.
When previewing a formatted text embedding an image, the image will be of course rendered. The image is also rendered in reports.
Consider how to handle images with different resolutions, mainly when presenting in reports and within Manual Launchers.
ReplyDeleteWhen converting some of the reports into MS-Word doc format, these might need to be limited to page width.
Need to consider if these shall be presented as links or embedded in full/partial size within Manual and Tabular launchers.
In all case I think it's better to embed the image for real. But you're right it's a good point to take care about the sizing (it may not be a good idea to embed a 1920x1200 screen capture)...
